Just to give you some feedback on this, the problem is still not solved on our side. In the end, our UX team decided that it is better from a UX point of view to trigger the context menu via a left click. In this way the problem is now bypassed.
We are still on GoJS v.1.8.38. We might test this again (just for completeness reasons) once we upgrade to v2.
