Custom link template while i make the connection before joining any other port

I want to use dotted lines while I create a connection between any 2 ports, the template is only working when the connection is completed, but I want the template to work when the connection is being made,
what needs to be done, thanks in advance.

Set LinkingTool.temporaryLink to what you want.

By the way, it’s not a template but the actual Link that the LinkingTool uses during the operation. It’s not copied, so it’s not a template.

Please read GoJS Tools -- Northwoods Software, which happens to include having the temporary link be dotted.
