New Link Data

Hi there

I have a question on create new instances of link data. I know that I can set the Archetype Link Data on the Linking Tool, but I need to be able to create an instance of an object of a very specific type (prototype), and when the archetype link data is simply copied, it creates issues for me.

Is there a place where I can return a new instance of a very specific object every time a new link is created on the object model?

I suggest that you override GraphLinksModel.copyLinkData. That will also handle other cases of copying links, not just when creating a new link via the LinkingTool.
