Can we resize only one dimension of the specific shape?
I don’t want to use maxSize.
Is there any specific concept which I am not remembering?

The last example of GoJS Tools -- Northwoods Software might be helpful. You’ll need to change the Part.resizeAdornmentTemplate so that the resizing handles are on the top and bottom rather than on the left and right sides.
