I would like a background watermark to display in my view but not move with the diagram. I want it centred in the control and stay there even when I scroll the diagram.
Is this possible.

One possibility is to do something like what I suggest in http://www.nwoods.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=20.
Of course instead of painting a linear gradient you can draw text or whatever you want.
