I didn’t reply thinking more people would look at your entry. While not Go related, I did do some research at microsoft.com and with Google.

Couldn't figure it out. Then, later in the day, I was editing a override of a print dialog, and there was this same mark at the declaration of the method. But I still couldn't figure it out, unless maybe it marks a recent edit.

Ah! It seems to happen when I do a “Find in Files”, then double click on the “Find Results” to go to a location.
