If I have one licensed older version is already installed, can I install newer evaluation version to actually evaluate it in parallel?
yes.
The apps may or may not run in evaluation mode (with the watermark) based on the version associated with the license you have installed. (I.e. you could have a license for 4.2 activated but still be running 3.0)
